Shooting Range
Kokolofitwe’s open-air shooting range has targets set at every 100 meters (starting at 100m and ending at 900m), making it the perfect place to adjust a scope or improve your long-distance aim.
Rifles and ammunition can be provided for novice shooters @ R500/person/day plus R50/round fired.
Game Drives
Immerse yourself in the serenity of Kokolofitwe’s game drive routes, occasionally stopping to enjoy the views and spot some of the more shy and reserved fauna in the area. Take a breather from the hustle and bustle of city life by communing with nature and observing the beauty and harmony of a world untouched by humanity.
Skeet Shooting
Another way to put your aim to the test during your stay is with skeet shooting.
R250/person for 20 shots including gun, ammo and clays.
R100/person if you provide your own equipment.
Hiking & Biking
Guided hikes and biking can be arranged. Come experience the Vredefort Dome from atop the end of the crater structure, walking through old klipkrale and wildlife to get a unique perspective of the largest crater on earth!
Rock Climbing
For an unforgettable, adrenalin-filled adventure complete with unbeatable views of the Vredefort Dome from atop a cliff, add rock climbing to your reservation. A 45 minute drive from Kokolofitwe, this full-day activity welcomes both novice and experienced climbers, and climbing equipment can be provided. Bird Watching
As the name suggests, Kokolofitwe boasts a variety of bird life ranging from secretary birds and blue cranes to owls and fowls. Kick back with your binoculars to spot many of South Africa’s winged wonders.
